
What is the Boone County Council?

The County Council is the fiscal branch of Boone County. They approve spending for county contracts and review the use of county funds. The Council appoints members to Boards and Commissions that receive County funding. They are also responsible for setting tax rates.
There are seven members total, four representing specific districts, and three at-large.
